GCSE Assessment Information
Edexcel History:
Paper 1: Medicine in Britain c1250- present day, including Britain and the Western Front in the First World War. This exam is 1 hour and 20 minutes and is a combination of knowledge questions and source-based questions. 30%
Paper 2: Period Study: The American West, c1835-95 and Depth Study: Early Elizabethan England. This exam is 1 hour and 50 minutes and is all knowledge-based. 40%
Paper 3: Weimar and Nazi Germany 1919-39. This exam is 1 hour and 30 minutes and is a combination of knowledge, sources and interpretations. 30%
