GCSE Assessment Information

Edexcel History:​

Paper 1: Medicine in Britain c1250- present day, including Britain and theWestern Front in the First World War. This exam is 1 hour and 20 minutes and iscombination of knowledge questions and source-based questions. 30%​

Paper 2: Period Study: The American West, c1835-95 and Depth Study: EarlyElizabethan England. This exam is 1 hour and 50 minutes and is all knowledgebased. 40%​

Paper 3: Weimar and Nazi Germany 1919-39. This  exam is 1 hour and  30 minutes and is a combination of knowledge, sources and interpretations. 30%

In History we recommend revising by making use of the revision resources in the student shared area: booklets; checklists; past papers, textbooks and model answers. Flashcards and mindmaps are also a great way of revising knowledge content.​
